Brandon Country Park, Suffolk

The weather has been absolutely amazing for the past two months, it was inevitable that it would start to rain as we packed our car for our summer holiday in Norfolk. It’s ok though because it didn’t last long and by the time we reached Suffolk the sun was shining again.

We didn’t schedule a stop, we pulled off the main road when we got to Thetford, and followed the first brown sign we saw, which took us to Brandon Country Park.

Coombe Country Park, Warwickshire

We are making the most of the Country Parks this month. We have recently visited Irchester (Northamptonshire), Beacon Hill (Leicestershire), and Marston Vale (Bedfordshire). Today we visited Coombe Country Park in Warwickshire. This one was more special for me because we went to meet my cousin whom I havenโ€™t seen for 25 years!

Marston Vale Millennium Country Park, Bedfordshire

The Forest of Marston Vale is a 60 square mile environmental regeneration project in between Bedford and Milton Keynes. Some of that area is made up of country park, which has a play area, visitors centre and cafe, wetlands nature reserve, woodlands, and walking routes. The last time we were there was last autumn when we had a day with the boys, and wanted a walk in the forest. Wellies definitely required.
