Henry (Harry) Greaves 1872-1925

Be it known that Harry GREAVES of 45 Church Road Homerton in the County of Middlesex who died on the 6th day of January 1924 at The London Hospital Whitechapel in the said county made and duly executed his last Will and Testament and did not therein name any Executor in residuary legatee or devisee.

 And be it further known that at the date hereunder written Letters of Administration with the Will of all the estate which by law devolves to and vests in the personal representative of the deceased were granted by His Majesty’s High Court of Justice at the Principal Probate Registry thereof to Elizabeth GREAVES of 45 Church Road aforesaid the lawful widow and relict of the said deceased. 

Dated the 19th day of February 1925.

Net value of personal estate £194 = 11 = 9

THIS IS THE LAST WILL & TESTAMENT of me the undersigned H GREAVES Builder of 45 Church Road Homerton in the County of Middlesex I give & bequeath my rights to the freehold house & yard situate & known as No 45 Church R Homerton together the sheds & outbuildings appertaining thereto & the business of a builder carried on thereat with all the plant stock & materials & all book debts belonging to the said business after all my just debts are paid to my three sons Harry Alfred Robert & William Charles Stanley subject to a charge upon the said business of the sum of One pound weekly to be paid to my wife Elizabeth so long as she shall not be an annoyance to them & should there be any disagreement amongst the brothers the dissentient one shall receive the sum of Two hundred pounds from the other two as his portion & shall have no further claim upon or share in the said business or premises my son Harry to take the position of Master but t all times in conjunction with the other two I further give & bequeath to my daughter Constance Ethel (God bless her) the piano at 45 Church Rd my rights to the two freehold houses known as 2 & 4 Oriel R Homerton & the two freehold houses known as 35 & 37 Digby R Homerton & the freehold house known as 35 Berger R Homerton absolutely feeling sure that should my wife Elizabeth at any time need assistance in the right direction she will receive it from my dear daughter Connie To my won William Charles Stanley the corner shop & house known as 27 Berger R To my son Harry 37a & 37b Digby R & to my son Alfred Robert Greaves No 29 & 31 Berger R all in the Parish of Homerton. Affidavit filed of due execution on the 12th January 1923

On the 19th day of February 1925 Administration (with Will) was granted to Elizabeth GREAVES the lawful widow and Relict.
